Emerging composers and musicians from around the world, please join us again for the 2010 highSCORE Festival in historical Pavia.

Inspire audiences with your new music, share your ideas and culture, produce and promote your work, secure future commissions.

As in past years, the festival will bring together artists of all ages and backgrounds for two weeks of master classes, workshops, lectures, open rehearsals, recorded performances, concerts and the Composition Colloquium.

As a performer, you will receive guidance in contemporary performance techniques from an outstanding faculty, as well as coaching from composers.

You will have the opportunity to participate in regional showcase concerts, which may be broadcast throughout Italy on the radio, or via web-stream.

VITTADINI INSTITUTE OF MUSIC
With more than 20 large, well-equipped rooms with Vertical and Grand Pianos, the Vittadini is the core of the highSCORE Festival, where you will meet with faculty for classes and rehearsals.

Composers are encouraged to bring a laptop, and are free to compose using the facilities at Vittadini, or about town.

THE CONCERTS
Cultural and historical sites throughout Pavia will provide the venues for performances presented during the festival. The series consists of faculty recitals, concerts featuring the music of participant composers, as well as solo recitals by selected participants.

Portions of select concerts may be broadcast nationally on Italian radio, and also via live-streaming video online. [...]
