Complete the online application of the program you would like to apply for and submit the required materials by the deadlines as listed below.

Full composition program (euros 1,299)


Fill in the application form and send the following to artdir@highscorefestival.com before April 16:

  • a resume (CV);
  • a complete score representing your style;
  • state two of the following instrumentations you would like to write for (optional: also send a draft of works in progress for the stated instrumentation). Upon acceptance, we will select one of the two preferred instrumentations, for which you will compose a new work to be performed during the festival.
    • string quartet with or without electronics (max duration: 6 minutes)
    • clarinet ensemble, solo to sextet, chosen from: 2 basset horns, 2 bass clarinets, 6 Bb/A clarinets, 3 piccolo clarinets, with or without electronics (max duration: 6 minutes)

* The festival will provide amplification and a mixer only. In case of acceptance please bring everything else that is required to perform your music (e.g. laptop with software and sound card, microphones, cables).

Spouse/Visitor (euros 799)


If you would like to accompany a composer or performer, fill in this specific application form before April 17 stating who you would like to come with. If the applicant is accepted, your application as a spouse/visitor will also be accepted. Only one spouse/visitor can come with a participant. The fee includes full accommodation in a shared room on the university campus from July 23 to August 04, full access as an auditor to all festival activities, and participation to daily Italian lessons and workshops on Italian cooking.
